Today we would like to draw your attention to the importance of keeping your dryer clean and in good working condition. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reports annually on recalls of gas and electric dryers that caused fire in thousands of houses. We strongly encourage you to keep yourself informed about updates on dangerous units. You can find information on recalls on our website under “Blog”.

Here are some steps you can take to keep your dryer clean and in perfect order.

Repeat your dryer cleaning routine once a month. After you clean the dryer run a test load of old towels or cloths to make sure that stains are gone. Avoid using ordinary towels as they can leave lint on the surface.

You will need the following:
– Several clean cloths;
– WD-40 Spray ;
– Bucket of soapy water;
– Bucket of clean water;
– All-purpose spray cleaner;
– Plastic spatula
– Rubbing alcohol;
– Hair dryer.

Before you start cleaning your dryer – UNPLUG IT.

Next, by using a plastic spatula take off the chunks of crayon on the interior drum. Then spray a small amount of WD-40 spray on a cloth and scrub the spots of crayon lightly. Clean the rest of the drum with the same cloth with WD-40. Important: do not spray WD-40 directly on the drum, as it can get into the drum holes and cause a serious fire hazard!

Wet another cloth with the soapy water and wash the interior of the drum. Follow by rinsing the drum with a second cloth with clean water. Dry the drum with a dry and clean cloth.
